SCAD Picnic at Pont Julien

On their first morning in Lacoste, we took the students to the market in Apt. It's the oldest continuously running market in France, and one of the oldest in Europe, and they all seemed to enjoy their introduction to a French institution. On the way back we stopped at Pont Julien, a bridge built by the Romans over  2,000 years ago and had a picnic. (By the way, this blog seems to crop the right side of the video frame, so if you want to see the uncropped picture, go here. If anyone reading this knows how I can solve this problem, please tell me. Thanks.)

  1. I don't know how you're embedding this, but if you're just copying the code from YouTube to embed it, I'd just adjust the height and width in the copied code (right now it's set to a width of 500 pixels, when the width of its container is only about 400 pixels). If you look through the code and change it to a width of 400 and a height of, say, 300 (there are at least two spots that should have those dimensions), that should fix your problem.

The other solution would be to adjust the CSS of your blog so the text container is at least 500 pixels wide.

I hope that's helpful. If you have any other questions, or if that doesn't work, I'd be glad to help. You have an interesting blog, and I'm especially curious because I graduated from SCAD in '07 and was in Lacoste in '06. I like to see what's changed and what's stayed the same.

  2. Ben- Thanks for the advice- I'll give it a try.

Say, how did you happen to find your way here? I've been putting links from my Facebook page, but other than that, I'm curious about people get here.

    Thanks, Forest

  3. I think it was a link from the Lacoste Facebook page? I'm not sure. I do a lot of wandering on the Internet—more than I'd like, really, but sometimes it pays off and I find stuff like this.

Hope my advice works. Like I said, let me know if it doesn't work or if I can help with anything else.
